Career Overview
Don Keeler is a founding member, and Chief Technology Officer of Lumen Software. Keeler is responsible for all product development at Lumen Software. He is the architect for Lumen SoftwareÂ’'s core solutions such as the Lumenation middleware environment / framework and industry specific solutions such as WeBSIS, WeBSET, CRM, HDM, Point of Sale, XPO Plus, Lumen Software Hospital Information System, and others. Keeler has been a CIO, CTO and consultant for most of his 25+ plus years in information technology. His system convergence system design and development experience spans centralized and distributed solutions on main frames - mini's to the micro servers of today.
His wide experience spans almost all industry segments, facilitating from the largest to smallest organizations, has provided him with the unique ability to identify, assemble and create industry best solutions in record design to deployment life cycles. The span of projects he has been responsible for have included large scale, high risk, information critical deployments. This experience includes a rich detailed knowledge of technologies ranging from mainframe to micro based solutions. Keeler has extensive experience in utilizing Windows and Linux based deployments. Keeler possess a detailed knowledge of valuable Linux system solutions and technologies such as application development, enterprise management, appropriate open source utilization, Linux based terminal services and other solutions.
Keeler has the unique experience of not only leading large consulting/custom project development solutions, but has also been the architect and developer of products and solutions which are utilized by organizations across the world.
Keeler has worked as a consultant for large organizations, and companies such as IBM, Xerox, Banyan and Microsoft. The products he has architected and managed have been distributed or promoted by organizations such as IBM and Novell. These cross-platform solutions allow an organization to leverage their existing infrastructure while simultaneously expanding their capabilities and significantly reducing human and capital resources.
A consistent quality throughout Keeler's career is his ability to examine the business needs of an organization or industry and provide solutions which maximize an organizations resources and return on investment. His vision of how to appropriately leverage existing and upcoming technologies have proven to be unique within the industry. Keeler also served as technical editor for New Riders Publishing on the book Windows 2000 Active Directory Design & Deployment by Gary Olsen. Keeler has had numerous articles and white papers published in almost all technology periodicals throughout his career.
